Procedure from hospital reception to payment

Reception
Upon time of reception, please provide your valid Japanese insurance card. If not available, please provide a valid photo ID, such as your Passport, Driver`s License, or residence card.
Fill out medical sheet
Please fill out the medical sheet as thorough as possible. If difficult to explain, please inform to the nurse using the PDF below.
Receive doctor examination
be sure to listen carefully to the explanation of the examination results.
Complete payment
Payment here is the cost for treatment received up to this point.
Keep in mind that payment by credit card is only accepted at major hospitals.
Clinics generally accept cash only.
Submit prescription to pharmacy
and purchase medications
You will be charged separately at the pharmacy for any medicine you need.
Some medical institutions provide in-house prescriptions.

Important

The medical care system varies by country. Avoid difficulties by learning about them in advance. Ask for a general estimate of the treatment cost at reception.

To avoid any communication issues, please have an interpreter with the patient if he/she cannot communicate in Japanese.

Please understand that there may be waiting time due to prioritized patients with booked reservations.

Hospitalization Information

Please provide your valid Japanese Insurance Card, if available.
Leaving the Hospital during Hospitalization will require approval by the Doctor. Please contact the Nurse Station, if needed.Food and Beverages from outside the hospital are prohibited to manage a healthy and clean environment for our patients.
Please inform any allergies and religion restrictions prior to your visit.

*All meals are directed by the Doctor for the needs of each patients symptoms.
*Entire facility is strictly a non-smoking environment.

Medical Expense Calculation Information

All expenses (i.e. examination, treatment, hospitalization, etc.)are calculated by points which are based off of the Japanese Law. One (1) point is equivalent to 10 JPY. (Taxes not included)

Medical certificate will be prepared only in Japanese.
However, there may be reports that cannot be created depending on the information.

Payment Information

We only accept Cash (JPY) and Credit Card for payment.
Acceptable Credit Cards are as listed below.

At our hospital, we do not correspond with Oversea Insurance Companies nor Tourist Insurance Companies. All payments will be paid the full amount by the patient and patient shall request for reimbursement directly from their insurance companies.

Introduction to the Hotline for Injured/Ill
Tourists in Okinawa

Due to the huge increase in Foreign Tourists in Okinawa, a new tool「Hotline for Injured/Ill Tourists in Okinawa」has been created for all injured and/or ill foreign tourists which is operating 24 hours every day.
By calling the hotline, you will interact with licensed nurses which will listen to your symptoms and provide advice on treatment and/or introduce you to a nearby hospital that is capable to communicate with you in your comfortable language.
Please take full advantage of this tool, as this hotline is created to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all foreign tourists visiting Okinawa.
